Date: 23:38 4/30/03 Hello again from Manitoba I'm sorry my contributions are slacking a bit, I'm still trying to piece to-gether my family tree lost in a car break-in, but I'm following all the work you guys are putting in. I still think this is the best web page we have
Further to the French debate Tom. The first time I find the name Tom and Caldwell to-gether is a Thomas Caldwell whose family is the same as that in my entry about Lochirmoss (incidentally there are two Lochirmosses in the old maps. One nearere Castle Caldwell and one near Ayr) This Tom b.8th Feb 1560, father Guillaume Caldwell mother Marie Broquin had four brothers, William b. 1567 at Sornbeg d. 28th Nov 1621 at Lochirmoss, Adam b.1579, Gavin b.1582, John b.1583 and Robert b.1585. This is the family who are supposed to have moved to Sornbeg, Ayrshire from Montherme, France in the second half of the 16th c. Tom married 1st. Elise Muir (these Muirs again) and 2nd. Jonetta McIlvaine. By Elise Muir he had a son John b.1583 in Scotland.
