I need help and clarification on information I am able to only recall vaguely. My line begins with John Caldwell of Cub Creek Caldwells. It seems I remember running across information that he had been sent to Edinburrough (SP?) for education as a young man. Have I got this right or is it another Caldwell?

If he went to school in Edinburrough would there be any records I could search for proof of that? If he was sent there for an education would that indicate that his family had a substantial means of support?

Since he came to the US about the age of 40 something I am trying to learn what I can of his life previous to coming here. Do any of you know some specifics of his life before coming to the US?

I may be having a serious case of "senioritus" concerning this tid bit of information. If I am in left field please let me know!
