: Sometime
: i have overlooked a message if the "Subject"
: does not
: seem to be other than a spam. Sorry, if that is the case.
: It has been so long, i don't remember what the gist of
: my message to you was about. Perhaps a question regarding
: your residing in Wales and if you knew of any Goyne

Gwen

I lived in Wales between 1952 and 1959 as a schoolchild. First in Bridgend and then at Swansea. The people I knew were pupils of the schools I went to and I have forgotten most of their names by now. I would have remembered the surname you mentioned but I am sure that I didn't know anyone of that name. Sorry.

I do remember that we seemed to be the only Caldwell in a city of over 250,000. There may have been others but not to our knowledge. At school I was always led to believe that the surname was not common in Wales. We used to get called "Cornwall" a lot there.

In Australia we get "Cadwell" and "Caudwell" a lot.

Apparently the Aussies are not too good with their "l's".
