Gwen, since you have been posting to this site I imagine you have read through previous postings and may already know what I am going to share.

I have been learning to "think outside the box" and that has lead me to sites which did have information I could use.
While researching Rev. James Caldwell, last child of John C. and Margaret Phillips, I decided to look for sites related to George Washington. I figured that since Rev. James was supposed to be a "quartermaster" during the Revolution, and the army was small at that time, it might be likely Washington would have written military communiques to the "quartermater"...

I located a site which transcribed Washington's papers and simply keyed in "Caldwell" and sure enough found some information there!

You may already have this information, but in case you do not I am including the site here for you or anyone else, to check out.
