There was an article in Victoria B.C.'s newspaper (likely in most across the Country) that may be of interest.
William Caldwell born c. 1906 from Kingston, Ontario was a Warrant Officer in the Canadian Army. He was killed with 205 fellow Canadian's when their troop ship, the S.S. Nerissa, was torpedoed off the coast of Scotland in early 1941. His dog-tags and a ring were recovered and lost in the Canadian archives until recently.
William's wife was named Alice and they had a daughter Victoria Anne born in 1941. She currently lives in Louisburg N.C.
