New Book
By:Charles Rodenbough
Date: 07:57 6/12/10

On April 17th my new book, "If the Lord is Willing and the Creek Stays Low" was introduced at the David Caldwell Historical Museum at David Caldwell Park in Greensboro, NC. I read selections and then discussed parts of the book which is a historical novel based on the life and influence of Rev. David and Rachel Craighead Caldwell. Gary Brown, who is Chairman of the David Caldwell Committee of Greensboro Beautiful wrote this review of the book:
"This is truly a remarkable work. I applaud your commitment, ability, knowledge and artistic capability to bring such a story to life. After 18 years of dedicated Caldwell research, I truly feel like I have finally had the pleasure and honor to meet the Rev. David Caldwell and his family. I thank you. It has been worth the wait.
This manuscript offers the first truly accurate and coherent insight into the life and mind of Rev. Caldwell. The imagery and perception is absolutely remarkable. The attention to detail and the amazing research and interweaving of facts makes this as much an interpretive history as it is a historical novel."
The book is available through lulu.com or directly from the author rodenboughc@bellsouth.net.
